This review is on the T. Murtazov’s monograph on the translation of the Zelenčuk inscription in Abkhazian-Abaza language. Analyzing the ways of translation by Murtazov and his research methods the reviewer improves insolvency of the author’s interpretation of the inscription’s signs and incompetence of the author’s approach to the one of the most difficult for interpretation epigraphic monument.
